Zechariah 3:8–9; 6:12–13 — The Branch, Priest and King

God announces "my servant the Branch" (3:8) and a stone "with seven eyes" on which he will engrave an inscription and "remove the iniquity of this land in a single day." In 6:12–13 the Branch "shall build the temple of the LORD … and shall bear royal honour, and shall sit and rule on his throne. And there shall be a priest on his throne, and the counsel of peace shall be between them both."
